Mental Maths World Cup

JMCWC 2024

A note from teacher Hantie.

What an experience. 10 excited children from over South Africa took part this year.

4 x Juniors 1 (up to 11)

4 x Juniors 2 (12 to 14)

2 x Seniors (15 to 19).

When we learned, we worked hard, and when we played, we played for the love of it.

Mathematics excites this group of young mental calculators.

Their speed amazes me. Their knowledge is unimaginable.

As Daniel Timms mentioned to Stiaan: “Come to the competition with the mind of improving your own personal best! And not necessarily to win”

And that was achieved.

Stiaan Scheepers – Personal best points and that being one level higher (more difficult) than last year!

Seniors 2024:

๐ŸŒŸ1st Indie

๐ŸŒŸ2nd Algeria

๐ŸŒŸ3rd Indie

๐ŸŒŸ4th Algeria

๐ŸŒŸ5th South Africa

Kaelea Ramiah – 1st time competing in Junior 2 with an amazing mark of 1891 points.

Dhanika Dhalal – 1st time competing in Junior 1 with an excellent 1750 points!

Thank you to the organizers Ms Caroline Merkel and her team as well as the sponsor of the annual competition Andreas Mรถhn Stifting.

Your love for seeing the children excel is just amazing.

Each child is special and has shown commitment. I salute you.
